Tyler Heineman
Los Angeles Angels
Catcher
Tyler Heineman is a switch-hitting catcher for the Los Angeles Angels. Born in Pacific Palisades, California, he played his college ball at UCLA before building a professional career defined by persistence. Heineman made his MLB debut with the Miami Marlins in 2019 and has since caught for the San Francisco Giants, Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays, where he spent five years with the organization and was part of the club's 2025 run to the World Series. Traded to the Angels in June 2026, he brings the preparation, game-calling and clubhouse presence that keep a catcher in the big leagues. Heineman is a Headstrong athlete who treats his daily routine with the same attention he gives every pitch he calls.
“I take FOCUS before first pitch. Calling a game is nine innings of decisions, and that's where I need to be sharp.”
