Kai Schwindt Joins Team Headstrong | Founded by Darren Burke and Evan Nause | Los Angeles Based Brain Performance Company
LOS ANGELES, California - March 2026
Team Headstrong is proud to welcome professional hockey forward Kai Schwindt to its growing roster of high-performance athletes.
Headstrong is a Los Angeles based brain performance and recovery company co-founded by Halifax scientist and entrepreneur Darren Burke and professional hockey player Evan Nause. The company supports elite athletes with science-driven strategies for mental clarity, recovery, and consistent high-level performance.
From Ontario to the Professional Ranks
Kai Schwindt, born in Breslau, Ontario, has developed into one of the promising young forwards in professional hockey. Standing 6'3" with a strong two-way game, Kai earned his entry into the professional ranks through discipline, development, and daily preparation.
Currently playing within the Florida Panthers organization, Schwindt continues to refine his game at the professional level, where speed of decision making, recovery between games, and mental consistency are critical.
Why Kai Schwindt Joined Headstrong
Modern professional hockey demands more than physical skill. The margin between levels is often cognitive. Processing speed. Focus under pressure. Emotional control late in games. Recovery across a long season.
Kai joins Team Headstrong to make brain performance part of his daily routine, not an afterthought. Headstrong athletes follow a consistent preparation habit that supports clarity, resilience, and repeatable performance.
The Headstrong Performance Model
Headstrong was built on a simple principle: elite performance begins with the brain.
Co-founder Darren Burke, a former tenured professor turned scientist-entrepreneur from Halifax, has spent decades studying physiology and performance. Alongside Evan Nause, he built Headstrong to serve athletes who want structure around their mental preparation the same way they structure their training.
Team Headstrong athletes use daily protocols designed to support:
• Sustained focus
• Faster reaction time
• Cognitive recovery
• Consistency across long seasons
The company operates from Los Angeles, California, while maintaining strong Canadian roots through Burke’s Halifax background and the growing community of Canadian professional athletes on the roster.
A Growing Team Headstrong Network
Kai Schwindt joins a rapidly expanding network of NHL, AHL, NFL, and NCAA athletes who view brain health as a competitive advantage.
As Team Headstrong grows, so does the mission: to normalize daily mental performance habits at every level of sport.
Welcome to Team Headstrong, Kai.
